Anyone over the age of five is welcome to stay in Bruntsfield Youth Hostel and you don't need to bring anything with you. We differ from hotels in that our staff are there to do more than just check you in. Tour booking; Local info; weather updates and hostel booking are all skills which our international staff are happy to offer you!
Comfort
All linen and duvets are provided on arrival. The mattresses, duvets and pillows were all recently changed and we also have longer and wider beds than the competition! Room temperature is kept to a comfortable level and extra duvets are available on request should you feel a little chilly!
Cleanliness
We allocate a minimum of 9 hours to cleaning the hostel each day - 365 days of the year! We pride ourselves on being one of the cleanest hostels in Edinburgh and hope that you'll agree. We regularly 'Deep Clean' certain parts of the hostel and this is done in strict rotation to ensure that our high standards are maintained.
Security
We recently installed a new CCTV recording system with state-of-the-art Sony cameras. This system works alongside our monitoring system to ensure that you feel safe and secure during your stay without the feeling that you are constantly being watched! All dorm rooms also have swipe card access which ensures that only you and your room-mates have access to your room. The reception is manned 24-hours so if you need anything, you only have to ask!
Privacy
All facilities are separated into male and female sections, this is true for showers, toilets, washrooms and dormitories.
